As a top producing real estate agent in Maryland for more than 25 years,

I exclusively focus on helping homebuyers, sellers, and investors in a wide variety of Baltimore City neighborhoods and surrounding Maryland counties. With over 25 years of real estate experience, and as a former architect (with dual UVa degrees in Architecture and Architectural History) and corporate finance analyst, I provide unique and knowledgeable service for my clients.

I pledge my undivided attention to every client, from the day our listing agreement is signed through successful closing -- and tenacious, fierce, and effective property marketing campaigns. I understand that peace of mind and a comfortable experience during the process -- whether buying, selling, or investing -- are as important to my clients as the end result of the highest attainable selling price and fewest days on the market. To accomplish this, I have assembled a team of best-in-class photographers, videographers, stagers, graphic designers, and marketing and PR consultants in our region.

SENIORS REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST™ (SRES)

With a particular passion for helping seniors and their caregivers, I have earned the designation of Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and I am a preferred provider for Erickson Living. After struggling with personal challenges trying to help my own father deal with how his dementia impacted his life, I founded and direct the Senior Services Group (SSG), a juried network of 20 multidisciplinary member companies in Greater Baltimore, serving clients throughout Maryland, helping seniors, their families and caregivers navigate the complexities of the passages, decisions and transitions seniors face.

Giving back to my community is very important to me. I am the Vice President of the Baltimore County Arts Guild and chair of the Beaux Arts Ball, as well as the board president of The South African Lacrosse Project—a charitable organization founded by my sons in 2007.

MY YEAR IN REVIEW:

Barb Cox sold our home in Ruxton Ridge. She exceeded any expectation that I held about the commitment of a realtor to get a house sold. She came into our home and gave us a frank assessment of changes that needed to be made to make the house marketable. She assisted us to accomplish these changes by recommending tradesmen that were competent, trustworthy and cost effective, and she supervised the work to ensure that the end result was a quality job. Because we had already moved and were too distant to be available to keep an eye on things, Barb did this for us; checking to see that the property was secured and safe. She made more trips to our house than I would have expected any realtor to provide. We missed the spring selling window, then the COVID-19 closures came, thus our home was on the market for a bit longer than we hoped. Barb held highly attended open houses throughout the time of our home being on the market, which gave us confidence that we would eventually be successful in finding a buyer. Once we did find a buyer she shepherded us through all of the attending processes including responding to the home inspection in a timely manner. I have to say that with all of the work that she did to get this house sold she really earned her commission, and I’m sure she is ‘dancing on her desk’ to have the settlement completed.
I am very grateful for Barb’s extensive knowledge of the local real estate market, her professionalism from the point of listing to the end of settlement She is also a really nice person to work with. I would recommend her to anyone who is considering selling their home and would be happy to offer a personal recommendation to anyone who wishes to contact me.
With sincere respect and gratitude,
